Joe is converting an MGB GT to spin on wire wheels. So far so good, with the exception on the wire wheels. 4 out of five are no good....So the car will sit on the rack for a while....

It was worth the time spend on making the adapter. We now can measure the dwell and offset of the spark timing on each set of points.
As is was set up we had a good 8 crank degrees angle between the sparks. Rendering the second spark effect to around zero. We now are at about 1.5 crank degrees. Our Sun machine measures distributor degrees, so it's about....

Just to make sure everything to the smallest detail is up to snuff, Tim made an adapter for the Magneti Marelli double point distributor of the Maserati yesterday. Now we can check both systems individually and set the offset of both points according to the book.
