OUR BEGINNINGS WERE HUMBLE
Yves started Vintage Sports Car in his own garage while living in Sleepy Hollow, Illinois in 2000. When his customer base expanded, he needed a bigger shop. There were a few locations, but in 2011 Yves moved to the current location in Woodstock, Illinois, where he plans to stay. His team consists of Joe, Tim, Graham, Jacob and Zeus. The atmosphere is informal – but their intent is quite serious. Yves inspires his team to do their best, enjoy their jobs, and support each other with one goal in mind – caring about the customers, their cars, and surpassing expectations.
Joe has been with VSC since 2010. He grew up working on Model A Fords with his dad and has been working on old cars ever since. He has built his own race cars and when he developed an interest in old Beetles - he became a part of our team!
Tim started with his dream car, a Sprite, which he had rebuilt before he was of legal driving age. Through go-carting and a successful Formula V career, he started working for Andresen, where he built multiple run-off winning Formula Ford engines.
Jacob is a hard Lancia fan, and our apprentice in the shop. Eager to learn, and strange as it is, in Jacob we found a young guy with interest in older cars. His interest goes mainly out to rally cars.
After a rough youth in the suburbs of Chicago, Zeus was adopted by VSC and quickly became the best security engineer we've ever seen! When there is no security detail for Zeus he keeps busy as the company shredder.
Graham has been working as a mechanic for a long time. Went to Wyo-tec where they were unable to kill his interest in mechanics and old car. When he was asked during his interview if he had interest in old cars, he rolled up his sleeve and showed us his MG logo tattoo.
